Designed with versatility in mind, the Gentry Holster draws its name from a truly versatile man, Glenn Gentry. Raised in a ranching family and with a formal background in philosophy, Glenn also turns his hands to the work of gardening, carpentry, and wine-making. We began this design as a gardener’s tool-holder, but as it progressed, we became aware of just how much potential it contained. Working with several craftsmen to hone in on the practical details, we began designing iterations suitable for stone masons and carpenters. Sturdy enough for the heaviest tools, while still small and compact, the Gentry Holster works as a stand-alone piece or as a serviceable addition to the Chapman Toolbag.

Gardener’s: made for gardeners and small-scale farmers and designed to hold clippers, pruning knives, anchoring pins, and any variation of small, hand-held tools. Front pockets are stitched closed at the bottom for keeping pruning knives and other small tools secure; holster is riveted in the center for allowing dirt to fall through while keeping small tools secure.

Carpenter’s: designed to hold a collection of frequently used tools, including hammer, pencil, pliers, razor blade, and any other variation of commonly used tools. Front pockets are open at bottom, with one large pocket and two smaller tool pockets. Holster is open at bottom to accommodate hammers and 12” framing squares. Tape clip addition is optional.

Stone Mason’s: designed to hold two chisels and a carbide stone buster. Specify sizes of chisels for custom-fit front pockets. Large, tapered front pockets are designed for holding two chisels; large open holster capable of comfortably carrying a 4-5 pound hammer.

Adding a canted tape clip on the side allows for secure accessibility while keeping the measuring tape out of the way when moving between stud walls and scaffolding.
